Abstract

From its Charter and the Pharmacy Act 1954, and recognised in EuropeanDirectives 85/432/EEC and 85/433/EEC, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) has responsibility and powers for approval of the education and training of pharmacist sregistering in GB. An important stage and component of such education and training is the pharmacydegree course. The RPSGB’s approachto the approval of such programmes is a system of accreditation, no less frequently than every five years.
